OUR THOROUGHBREDS -- Yearlings
Last year's foal crop is this year's group of yearlings, four fillies and one special colt. We expect each of these yearlings to race under the Thoroughbred Racing Nation banner beginning in 2009. Yearlings grow in spurts and its not easy to project how they will look as they mature but they have each received high praise from several top horseman skilled at evaluating youg talent. These yearlings will begin their intial training in the Fall of 2008. We invite you to follow their development in photographs and comments that will be added to this website page throughout the year.

Unamed Colt
Powerscourt - French Reign by Miswaki
This third foal out the promising young Miswaki mare French Reign is by the the great turf runner Powerscout who twice finished first in the Arlington Million and won Graded/Group races around the world. This young colt has a strong resemblence to Powerscourt himself. Those long legs and smooth stride may signal a top turf star in the making. |

Photos don't do this elegant colt justice. By the top young A.P. Indy colt Full Mandate, and out of the very nice Jade Hunter mare Claire's Jade, this colt has the "look of eagles".
